AP CS A, USACO 등 알고리즘 대회들의 난이도와 범위에 대한 문의가 많아서 정리해보았습니다!
📊 벤다이어그램 비교
USACO Bronze > ACSL Junior/CCC > AP CS A 순으로 난이도를 보시면 됩니다. CCC Senior부터는 난이도가 극명하게 차이나서 추후 정리해서 안내드리겠습니다.
📝 학습 순서 추천
결과적으로 AP CS A를 먼저하고 USACO를 하면 좋겠지만, 대부분 학교에서는 G10에 AP CS A 수강이 가능하기 때문에 USACO를 먼저하고 AP CS A를 더 수월히 진행하는 방향으로 대비하고 있습니다.
예시로, USACO에서 수상한 학생의 경우 AP CS A 준비는 3~4개월 정도 소요되는 반면, AP CS A를 먼저 할 경우 꼬박 10개월이 소요되어 4~5점 수상 후 USACO를 또 8개월 가량 진행하니 시간적으로는 USACO를 먼저하는 것이 효과적입니다.
최근 몇 년간 AP CS A 커리큘럼은 지속적으로 업데이트되고 있습니다. 특히, Java 프로그래밍 언어를 사용하여 객체 지향 프로그래밍(OOP) 개념을 강조함과 동시에 데이터 구조와 알고리즘에 대한 내용이 강화되고 있는 추세이기에 AP CS A를 고민중인 학생이라면 USACO 도전도 로드맵에 고려하는 것도 유의미 할 것 입니다!
